Why I Paint and Draw

I love painting and drawing. For me it is a meditation and an anchor. The process of just being at a certain place and time, of being open to the experience of that place, and of using my hand, eyes and mind to reflect. Each mark and color becomes a meditation. When making art I get to just be myself being, nothing else, no labels, just being. At the end of that process, if I’ve managed to be honest, the result is a little capsule of being that I can share with others, and hopefully allow them to experience some the same for themselves.
